Kacey Musgraves Gives Colorful Piano Led Performance of 'Rainbow'

Kacey Musgraves took the stage at the 2019 Grammy Awards and gave a colorful piano lead performance of "Rainbow." The piano and lights behind her were illuminated multi-colored to match the theme of the ballad.

While award performances can be stressful, Kacey approached the night with the mindset she was just going to have fun. “TV performances are a whole nother ballgame. They can be nerve-wracking, but they can also be very fun, and ultimately, I just try to find my center within all of that, find my calm. I’m getting to perform songs that I really, truly love and feel comfortable singing. So, I feel like I don’t really have anything to feel nervous about. Mostly I’m just excited, and of course there’s the glam and the wardrobe and the fact that my husband [Ruston Kelly] will get to be there sitting with me and hanging out with me. So, I’m just really going to try to find the fun of it all and not get too worried about the outcome and just ultimately just be myself and have a good time.”

Earlier in the night she took home two awards during the pre-show for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song. Right as the telecast was getting kicked off Kacey released the official music video for "Rainbow."
