NOAA Predicting A Normal Hurricane Season In The Atlantic This Year

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says they expect the 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season to be within the normal range of activity for storms.

According to a prediction model released yesterday, NOAA says there should be between nine to 15 named storms in the Atlantic with four to eight of them reaching hurricane strength.

NOAA administrators said a current El Nino would produce warmer seawater which would help to weaken hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean.
