Eta Expected To Once Again Become Tropical Storm, Enter Gulf Next Week

Tropical Depression Eta was back over waters in the Caribbean Friday, on a track to regain tropical storm strength while moving over Cuba and impacting south Florida by the end of the weekend.

Eta could move back into the Gulf of Mexico, but whether it will be a threat to the northern Gulf Coast remains unknown as this time. Forecasters noted recent model trends pointed to Eta being an issue more for areas along the eastern Gulf.
