Southeast Louisiana Prepares For Latest Severe Weather Threat

As cleanup efforts continue in parts of southeast Louisiana, the region is bracing for another round of severe weather today.

"Biggest threats remain damaging winds (70+ mph) and embedded tornadoes, which has potential to be strong or long track," said the local National Weather Service office. "The timing still looks to be in the afternoon into the evening hours."

The area is under either an enhanced or moderate risk of severe weather today.

A wind advisory is also in effect, with strong gusts expected well ahead of any storms.
